So, I've actually been meaning to catch Leoht on Steam, but the timing doesn't seem to be working out - I'm thinking of getting an HDTV - LCD 1080P for somewhere between $400 & $700. Wanted to see if you guys had any feedback on this one:

That's a good price for the size. I have heard of issues with the audio from the TV not being in sync with the picture on that model series, however (the LH30).

Man, I'll freely admit I'm so out of the loop on TVs. :) I haven't gotten around to getting one of my own, though I am currently in the market. I like some of these newer flat screens that have built-in NICs so you can steam media across your network. But you can do the same thing down the road with an external receiver and buy a cheaper TV model up front. I also love the new Samsung LED flat screens, but they still cost an arm and a leg.

Before you showed up with that link, I was eyeballing this one, which is just a few inches larger and has a 2.7ms response time. Probably a negligible gain for the price tag difference, but the size would be worth it to me.

SO, update - I actually went with the 32" version of the LH30 series. It's a nice TV - still uses a Super-IPS panel. Got it for $480 w/ a$50 newegg gift card, after I talked to a rep and told them I had found it on a competitor's site for less. I've been happy with it so far. One thing I don't like is that it takes a while to turn on. Which isn't a big deal except that it doesn't make a sound when it does or have a light come on or anything. I just press the power button on the remote and sit and wait for 5-10 seconds to see if it actually caught that I pressed POWER.

Picks up a helluva lot more stations than my old OLEVIA, though - I'm supposed to get $100 for that from the gf. (score!).

Hah, yeah - except the 37" flavor went on sale at the end of the week for only $50 more. Ah, well - c'est la vie.
