thoroughly if you're interested in participating in the HMC2 revisit. I'll try to keep this as short as I can.]
A few days ago, there was talk of reopening the last Halomaps location. As a Christmas present from us to you, it's going to happen!
For the week of December 23-30*, HMdz's previous headquarters,
http://www.halomapscouk.proboards50.com, will be unlocked for your perusal! All friends of HMdz are invited to look through some of our oldest surviving archives and see what lost memories, friends** or threads they can find again!
HOWEVER, please understand that there are certain rules that apply here!!!
1) No one is allowed to post at Proboards! These are our
archives and
not our current forums, and all discussions regarding HMC--be it version 1, 2, or 3--are to be placed in the appropriate section of THESE forums (
http://www.halomapscoukclan.net/ ). That means that if you find anything at proboards that you wish to share with everyone, you have two options: tell people on Xfire, or start a thread here (most likely in the Tavern).
If you do choose to post at the proboards site, you will get a warning the first time to make sure that you were smart enough to read here, but if you spam needlessly you will be IP-banned indefinitely (probably forever) from the Proboards location and possibly banned temporarily from THESE forums.
2) Please do not point to old fights, unless you have good reason to believe it has been well resolved! We don't want anyone recalling painful memories that have been left in the past, and if a flamefest rises it will be dealt with as always.
If everyone can stay respectful and think before they post, this should work out fine and you'll be free to relive potentially interesting memories! Otherwise, you will lose this temporary privilege and may never have another chance like it again!
As of this post, the closing date is set to December 30 (time undecided), at which point HMC2 will be relocked, because it deserves to be preserved in case we ever need to return or refer to it.
*We'll close it again early, though, if there's not enough interest or if you guys cause too much trouble over there.
**DO NOT ASK FOR JELLY BACK. If you have ANY response to this point, PM a moderator but do NOT post it in this or any other thread. All posts regarding Jelly will be ignored and may be deleted! Yes, I'm serious.
